The Bossingham Youth Club started in March
2004 for 10 - 16 year olds.
With funding from Upper
Hardres and Stelling Minnis Parish Councils we are able to offer a warm safe
environment within Bossingham Village Hall and its grounds for all teenagers to
enjoy games, sports and crafts or just hang-out with friends.
Sessions are from 7pm - 9pm on the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month (term time
only), unless otherwise stated.
Our
current membership limit is 30 and some places are still available. The sessions
are run by volunteers from
the villages who have undergone CRB Enhanced Disclosure Checks (Police Checks).
We have a wide variety of games and equipment available including Crafts, PS2,
Karaoke, Dance mats, Indoor Cricket and Hockey, Volleyball, Board games,
Badminton and Pool/Snooker.
A termly entrance fee is charged to cover the cost of insurance, please e-mail
Claire Champion for details. A registration form must be completed and
authorised by a parent or guardian when joining. A sign-in/out register is in
operation at the door for safety and a tuck-shop is run throughout the evening
with snacks and drinks at a nominal fee. Hire of the hall is funded
jointly by Upper Hardres and Stelling Minnis Parish Councils, to whom we are
extremely grateful.
We are in need of a couple of adult male volunteer/supervisors aged between 25 and 60. Must be able to have fun and join in with games/sports and crafts. Training will be provided, which can lead onto a KCC recognised qualification. The positions will be subject to enhanced CRB checks being made.
