  The following advance notices of impending roadworks have been received by Stelling Minnis Parish Council clerk:

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(A20 ASHFORD ROAD, M20 JUNCTION 12 CHERITON INTERCHANGE FOLKESTONE)
(30MPH SPEED LIMIT)
TEMPORARY ORDER 2008

Notice is hereby given that owing to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are carried out on or near the highway, the Kent County Council Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting traffic travelling at any speed in excess of 30 miles per hour on the route described in the schedule to this order.

The Order will become effective on or after 8 September 2008 for an estimated period of six weeks or until such works are complete or for a period not exceeding 18 months at such times and such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule

A20 Ashford Road. M20/Juntion 12 Cheriton Interchange, Folkestone.

On the western approach to the roundabout, from the Give Way markings, westward along the A20 Ashford Road for a distance of 1100 metres to its junction with Newington Road

(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
TEMPORARY ORDER 2008

Notice is hereby given that because highway safety are proposed to be carried out, the Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting traffic on A20 Ashford Road, M20 junction 12 Cheriton Interchange, Folkestone from junction 12 roundabout to its junction with Newington Road from 13 October 2008 for 3 nights over a 3 week period.

The alternative route will be via A20 Ashford Road, B2068/M20 junction 11, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road/London Road, A259 Military Road, Rampart Road, Seabrook Road, Sandgate Hill, Sandgate Road, Earles Avenue, Shorncliffe Road, Beachborough Road, Cheriton Road, Cheriton High Street and M20 junction 12 roundabout.
