The girls completed their sponsored cycle ride in Kenya (2003).   Sarah says “…as a group we raised a net amount of

BREAST CANCER WALK 2006 - THE PLAYTEX MOONWALK

Four of our mature ladies, (Derry Lowe, Lesley Heslop, Pauline Piddock and Margaret Leach) all from Stelling Minnis, took part in The Playtex MoonWalk 2006.

This moonlit power walk covered a distance of 26.2 miles (a marathon) and took place at night through the streets of London on the 20th May 2006 starting and finishing in Hyde Park.  It was in aid of breast cancer research and cancer care and all the entrants were encouraged to wear decorated bras.

They all completed the walk and the photo shows them with their medals.  To date the sum raised is in excess of £4200.  There is still time to post walk sponsor them.
