This is an example:

Problem: How do I change the speed I need to double click the mouse button to get it to work.

Response 1: Go to Start/Control panel* and double click on the Mouse Icon. Select the buttons tab. About the middle of the table that is visible is a section to increase or decrease the double click speed plus a test facility - a "jack in the box" in early versions of windows and a "folder" in later versions.

* in Windows 98 Control Panel may be located via Start/Settings, depending how Windows was set up.

Response 2: The problem with double clicking may be overcome by clicking once and pressing the return key.
