The Church in the Hall meets every Sunday in Bossingham Village Hall at 9.30 am, with a congregation consisting of local people from Bossingham, Stelling Minnis, the surrounding villages and further a field.
Our worship is informal and relaxed and everyone is welcome, whether or not you are used to church. The type of service varies from week to week although we base our theme and teaching on the Bible-based Scripture Union material and we always have what we call "setting the scene" - a short talk that introduces the theme for the week, aimed particularly at our children and young people, which may include a sketch, a quiz, a game - suitable for everybody. Then in the second half of most services the children and young people go to their own activities related to the week's Bible passages, whilst the adults remain in the hall for either a time of discussion and reflection on the week's Bible passages or a talk from one of our congregation or a visiting speaker. Once a month we all stay together in the hall for an "Agape Meal" - sharing a meal of bread, grapes and wine together. On the 5th Sundays of the month our children and young people lead an "all-age service", which often includes some drama or music that they have prepared.
There is always a warm welcome, a cup of tea or coffee after the service and the opportunity to receive prayer for any matter at all.
